public education initiative aimed at preventing predatory lending practices
in New Hampshire. The Campaign seeks to
educate families and individuals about how to avoid predatory lending
scams and about available community resources. The toll free DON'T BORROW TROUBLE
help line has been established at 866-623-1302 to offer families a safe
place to call before they sign anything that puts their home at
risk.
If you are having trouble making your monthly mortgage payments or have received a foreclosure notice, visit www.HomeHelpNH.org, a new web site announced by Governor John Lynch on February 27, 2009 to provide information and resources for home owners who are having difficulty paying their mortgage.
